Fairchild Bridal Group, publisher of Bride’s, Modern Bride and Elegant Bride, is planning new special issues and a new publishing schedule, Mediaweek reports. The move comes at a time when the competition between bridal titles has been especially fierce.
Bride’s will publish Honeymoons & Weddings Away in November and a Receptions special in January. Modern Bride Fitness & Beauty will hit newsstands in May. Modern Brides and Brid’s will also produce supplements on home and jewelry, respectively, in their April/May and fall issues.
This holiday season, Fairchild will also begin to simultaneously publish Bride’s and Modern Bride’s, as opposed to the current, alternate publishing schedule. Bride’s will publish a November/ December and a February/March issue, eliminating its January/February issue, so Bride’s and Modern Bride’s February/March issues are on newsstands at the same time. The two titles will retain their regular bimonthly schedules for the remainder of the year.
