Aegis Admits a ‘Certain Logic’ to Havas Takeover

Following yesterday’s announcement that corporate raider Vincent Bollore has upped his share in Aegis to over 14 percent, Aegis Group’s CEO Robert Lerwill has said that there is a “certain logic” to a media buying partnership with Bollore’s Havas, Forbes writes.

Apparently, Lerwill met with Bollore three times since the French billionaire began buying up Aegis shares in August. “But for the moment, no concrete project is being studied,” he said in an interview with French daily Les Echos.

Lerwill has also met with Publicis CEO Maurice Levy, who has also indicated his interest in acquiring the company.
