Citing a poor economy and rising expenses, The Plain Dealer will cease publication of its Sunday Magazine, Cleveland.com reports.
The magazine, which began its run in 1919, will print its last edition will be Dec. 18. The newspaper will continue to carry Parade Magazine on Sundays.
Sunday magazines used to be a regular feature of most metropolitan newspapers. However, over the years, these glossy publications suffered losses in advertising support as opportunities for color printing opened in other sections of the paper, said Plain Dealer Editor Doug Clifton.
