Coming out of the sweeps month, ABC seems to be the network to watch among media agencies, Mediapost reports. ABC tied CBS for the win in adults 18-49, reaching its highest sweeps rating since Feb. 2001. It also won in the 18-34 demo and had five of the top six highest-rated shows in adults 18-49.
Though CBS ruled in total viewers, beating ABC by nearly 3 million, ABC’s growth in a number of areas - the adults 18-49 in the 10:30-11 p.m. half-hour grew by 14 percent over last Nov., for example - suggests to many media buyers that ABC has the most momentum.
This perception could help the network command higher prices during the scatter ad market as the season continues.
