Harris Publications launched its first Hispanic magazine, Fuego, less than a year ago, but the publication has said that the winter 2006 issue will be its last, Mediaweek writes. Fuego, a quarterly, English-language men’s lifestyle magazine, targeted second- and third-generation Latinos and had a circulation of 200,000.
An advertising rep had told Marketing y Medios last summer that the magazine had signed new advertisers including Colgate-Palmolive, Kenneth Cole, L’Oreal, Estee Lauder, and Unilever, claiming that those advertisers knew they had to reach the male Hispanic audience and that Harris could provide that reach on a national level.
