The food and distribution company McLane announced Tuesday that it would change its packaging after Procter & Gamble sued the firm for having products that look too much like its own, writes Adweek.
Of the settlement, P&G’s chief legal officer Jim Johnson said, “Our objective was to put an end to what we view as infringement of our package designs.”
P&G charged McLane with making its paper towels, toilet paper and over-the-counter cold remedies too much like those of P&G. The companies settled under undisclosed terms.
