Creatable Media has partnered with Clear Channel Malls to offer advertisers a new mall tactic: static advertising atop specially-constructed tables in food courts and other areas. The company is making what it calls a “full food court press,” placing new tabletops in major malls throughout the country, via long-term partnerships with mall developers such as Westfield Corporation, General Growth Properties and Macerich Company.
These five- and 10-year contracts will comprise over 100 malls nationwide, with over 20,000 tabletops by the end of 2006. According to the company, 35 percent of mall shoppers visit the food court and food court patrons spend an average of 25 minutes sitting at a table. Moreover, a recent survey revealed that 83 percent of people exposed to a Creatable Media ad read all or part of the advertisement.
