USPS to Offer Personalized Postage to Businesses

Using Customized PC Postage technology, the U.S. Postal Service will offer buyers personalized postage with pictures or images and has signed deals with three PC Postage vendors, who will produce customized postage for personal and commercial First-Class Mail, Priority Mail and Express Mail, writes DM News.

According to USPS vp of product development, Endicia.com, Stamps.com, and Zazzle.com, in partnership with Pitney Bowes, will add the commercial application to established agreements for the production of personal postage.

“Expanding the way customized postage can be used is a bonus for businesses who want to create awareness for their products or services, build their brand and develop strong customer relationships,” said Barranca.

The contracts are part of the third phase of the customized postage market test, which will run through May 16, 2007, with an extension option for a second year.
