As consumers spend more time out of their homes, advertisers seek to find them wherever they go, and conveyor belts at grocery stores are the next stop for ads.
EnVision Marketing Group, a new company with a patented system to print digital, photo-quality ads directly on conveyor belts, has partnered with Kroger Stores for a test in a few dozen supermarkets, mainly in northwest Arkansas, Jackson, Miss., and Memphis, Tenn., according to AdAge.
So far, advertisers are local real-estate agents and insurance brokers. But the group is offering national advertisers the opportunity to shut out competitors by purchasing the entire 55-store footprint, which EnVision claims can deliver 3.3 million impressions a month, for $182,800.
Stores who sign up to test the conveyor ads get a percentage of the gross advertising sales plus have the belts paid for and maintained by EnVision.
