Google Search, Ad Products in Intuit’s QuickBooks

Intuit’s QuickBooks 2007 accounting program will feature Google’s search and advertising products, with Intuit marketing the partnership as a way for small businesses to promote themselves online.

The QuickBooks user interface will provide access to paid keyword campaigns, Google Maps business listings and the printable coupon service Google launched in August, writes MediaPost (via MarketingVox). Users can create AdWords accounts through QuickBooks and will receive a $50 credit for AdWords ads. Also, the QuickBooks Product Listing feature will integrate Google Base, allowing merchants to upload product inventories unto Google Base, making them searchable.

The partnership between Silicon-Valley companies Google and Intuit comes as the race to secure prime placements within business products heats up between Google and rivals Yahoo and Microsoft, writes Reuters.

QuickBooks 2007, which will be available later this year or early next, will imbed Google Desktop as well, allowing users to retrieve customer, retailer or financial information stored within QuickBooks or on their desktops.
