CMP Technology Sells Noncore Pubs to Wicks Group

CMP Technology has sold its noncore consumer and enthusiast magazines for $47 million in cash, writes BtoB.

The sale, to Wicks Group of Cos., includes Bass Player, Guitar Player, Pro Sounds News and Systems Contractor News. CMP will now be able to enhance its focus on its b-to-b media properties, including Dr. Dobb’s Journal, EE Times and Information Week, the company says.
