Lillian Vernon Corp. is shuttering Celebrations, its consultant-themed business, due mainly to channel conflict.
When Sun Capital Partners bought Lillian Vernon in May, it was decided that The Celebrations business would close, which will happen on Sept. 30. Until then, all Celebrations products are being offered at a 50 percent discount, writes Multichannel Merchant.
Currently, the Celebrations website scarcely exists. Visitors see a blank page with plain black text explaining: As of September 30th, 2006, Celebrations by Lillian Vernon is closing. The good news is that all the great products are being offered at 50% off. If you are interested in these great products please contact your consultant. If you don’t have a consultant you can call 757-427-7151 and get the name of one to help you.
