An eight-year deal between broadcast provider company Arqiva and Viacom Outdoor will provide for a content delivery network throughout the London Underground, Arqiva has announced.
Arqiva will install advertising technologies such as digital escalator panels and large format digital LCD screens, and will enable Viacom Outdoor to create the U.K.’s largest single digital advertising network, writes mad.co.uk. The plan is part of a legacy project for the London Underground in the run-up to the Olympics which will be held in that city in 2012.
Arqiva will provide Viacom Outdoor with hosting and support services, and will manage the content from the point of digital delivery to the point of display.
