The growth potential of advertising on the internet has been underestimated because predictions did not include video advertising, social media sites or mobile advertising, according to Terry Semel, CEO of Yahoo.
The predictions only covered graphical and search advertising, Semel said during a speech at the Internet Advertising Bureau Engage conference in London, Reuters reports. He said video will become a major factor on the internet.
He believes more innovative ways of integrating advertising with online video will develop quickly.
