Cyber Monday, the biggest online holiday shopping day of the year, will be Dec. 18, rather than the Monday after Thanksgiving, according to CyberSource Corp.
The finding is based on CyberSource Corp.’s analysis of six years of historical transaction volumes and the number of shipping days remaining before Dec. 25, writes DM News. The company, which processes electronic payments for web merchants, says the busiest holiday shopping day online typically happens on the Monday closest to Christmas where there is at least a week available for shipping.
Cyber Monday typically refers to the Monday following Thanksgiving.
