NBC Universal is seeing a shake-up in its ad sales group, following the departure of president and COO of NBC U’s Television Group Randy Falco last month.
NBC U’s president of ad sales, Keith Turner, will leave the company, to be replaced by Michael Pilot, most recently president and CEO of the Equipment Finance Group of GE Commercial Finance, writes Mediaweek.
A new position has been created, chief operating officer of the sales division, which will be taken over by Edward Swindler, currently executive vp of NBC Universal Television Group.
The president of NBCU TV Stations and Network Operations, Jay Ireland, will take on oversight of Telemundo, Network Affiliate Relations, and NBC Network Operations, areas previously handled by Falco.
NBC U announced in October that it will be cutting five percent of its workforce and streamlining its news organization as part of a series of cost-cutting measures that are expected to save $750 million in operating expenses by 2008.
