Van Wagner Communications and Titan Worldwide have landed contracts with the New York City transit, much of whose business used to be handled by CBS Outdoor.
Titan Worldwide will sell advertising media on NYC transit system’s railways and buses, including the Long Island Railroad, Metro North, NYC Transit Bus, MTA Bus, and Long Island Bus, writes Mediaweek.
Van Wagner will handle the outdoor billboard advertising on the Transit Authority properties, beginning on Jan. 1 and continuing for 10 years. With the contract, the company now operates more than 300 large format displays in New York and its environs, which the company claims is more than twice as much as CBS Outdoor, Clear Channel, or any other competitor.
CBS Outdoor will continue handling advertising for the subway system, where it is in the process of rolling out a network of LED screens.
