Ford Test Drive Results in New Ad Campaign

Ford’s new ad campaign will feature the results of a driving challenge that was between the Ford Fusion sedan, the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord.

The Ford Fusion received top ratings from the test in several categories, including styling, performance, handling and “fun to drive,” writes Brandweek. Car and Driver conducted the event.
Of 11 categories, Ford did not do well in perception of quality.

Copy for the print ads, from JWT, Detroit, explains that in a recent Car and Driver head-to-head comparison, 600 car enthusiasts were asked to compare three cars in performance, handling and styling. The tagline reads: “This test had a lot of turns. And one big twist. (Ford Fusion beat Camry and Accord.)”
Ford spent $210 million on ads for the Fusion from January through October last year, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
