Reaching Women Outdoors on Super Bowl Sunday

Super Bowl Sunday is also the day of the largest women’s winter sporting event in the lower 48 - the National Women’s Winter Tour - and advertisers can reach participants and attendees across the country via sampling, signage and product demonstrations.

This year’s events will take place in Traverse City, Mich., Lake Tahoe, Minneapolis, Champion, Pa., and Tamarack, Idaho, writes Media Life. The noncompetitive event, marketed as an alternative to the Super Bowl, is run by Women’s Winter Tour, headquartered in Traverse City.

Participants can choose to cross country ski, snowshoe, or snow hike. Last year, about 4,000 women attended the events.

There are four levels of sponsorships available, from title sponsors (cost: $12,000) to product sponsors (cost: less than $4,000).
