In a one-year, multimillion-dollar deal, State Farm will have a major presence on Nickelodeon in 2007.
The sponsorship includes 30-second spots on the network, plus appearance in at least 400 ads promoting the network’s Go, Diego, Go Live! tour, writes Mediaweek. This is the first time State Farm has made a buy on a children’s network, as well as the first time Nickelodeon has partnered with an insurance company.
State Farm spent a total of $176 million in the first 10 months of 2006, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus. Of that, $44 million was spent on cable.
