The InStore Broadcasting Network and Cuesol, a company that provides a high-tech shopping cart equipped with a digital personal shopping assistant dubbed the Shopping Buddy, have joined forces for a test designed to “surround” shoppers with a multimedia advertising experience.
IBN will deliver instore messages via its audio and video platforms in the store; those messages will be combined and integrated with Cuesol’s Shopping Buddy, writes MediaPost.
The partnership will allow IBN to synch with the Shopping Buddy to relate to specific aisles or sections of the store.
The test will be rolled out in selected supermarkets owned by The Stop & Shop Supermarket Co.
