comScore: Searches Up 26 Percent for Year, Google Still Leads

Google Sites captured 47.5 percent of the U.S. search market (search volume) in January, gaining 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, according to comScore’s monthly qSearch analysis of activity across competitive search engines (via MarketingVOX).

NBCU Inks Deal With Transit TV

NBC’s Los Angeles stations will deliver local news, weather, sports and entertainment programming to Los Angeles County bus riders on Transit TV. Bus riders will see KNBC (NBC), KVEA (Telemundo) and KWHY (Independent Spanish-language) local programming on the network of 4,400 LCD screens on 2,200 buses.

Country Returns to L.A. FM

Los Angeles’ KMZT-FM (105.1), owned by Mt. Wilson Broadcasting, is shifting its classical content to KKGO-AM (1260) and will begin broadcasting country music today, The Los Angeles Times reports.
