Cooking Light to Open Sixth ‘FitHouse’ in June

Cooking Light will build its sixth annual FitHouse in Lincoln Park, a neighborhood on the north side of Chicago, to celebrate its 20th anniversary year.

Cooking Light’s FitHouses are meant to reinforce the notion that leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle goes beyond food and exercise. Set in urban Chicago, the 5,000-square-foot single-family home focuses on healthful and green living.

A portion of the proceeds generated by the 2007 Cooking Light FitHouse ticket sales will be donated to Catch Your Breath, which promotes public awareness and research funding to address the effects of lung disease upon women. Catch Your Breath volunteers will staff the house for the duration of the public tour.
The FitHouse will open its doors on June 2, 2007.
