Heineken Pours on the Branding in Airport Bars

Heineken plans to test a chain of Heineken-branded bars by opening them in airports around the world, hoping to see if it can duplicate the success of the Starbucks experience, writes Michael Fowlkes of BloggingStocks.com.
The first of the Heineken bars has been opened in Hong Kong, and sports Heineken bar stools, t-shirts, monitors with Heineken ads, and more. Heineken is the only beer on tap, though other beers are sold in bottles.

Fowlkes, an analyst for the online investment advisory service Investor’s Observer, believes the airport idea is a good one but doesn’t expect to see Heineken bars popping up on Main Streets across the country.
