Few adventures left... The November issue of Disney Publishing Worldwide’s Disney Adventures magazine will be its last. Subscribers will receive either a refund or a subscription to another Disney Publishing title, such as Wondertime or FamilyFun, writes Mediaweek.
Shuttering the magazine will allow the company to focus on new magazine and book efforts, according to a spokesperson.
The magazine, geared toward kids ages 6-14, was launched in 1990 and had a circulation of 1.2 million. It pulled 97.9 ad pages in the first half of 2007, a 4.5 increase over the same period last year.
The move marks the second closing of a kid magazine in the last year. In April, MTV Networks axed Nick Jr. Family magazine.
