Some of the biggest place-based advertising networks are seeking sales talent from TV and the larger ad agencies, writes MediaPost.
Chris Kager, formerly president of The Media Group, has moved to ProLink Solutions, a network which delivers advertising to GPS video screens on golf carts. Before his gig with The Media Group, Kager was executive vp of NBC Universal TV Distribution, responsible for full media sales.
Earlier this year, Captivate Network - which has digital displays in the elevators of hundreds of office buildings - hired Sheri Taylor Gilchrist as vp of marketing and programming. Taylor had served as senior vp at Harte-Hanks and before that was vp of relationship marketing for Hill Holliday Connors Cosmopoulos.
Reactrix and Premiere Retail Networks also hired television executives to help recruit national advertisers.
