IBN Signs Arbitron for Place-based Measurement

InStore Broadcasting Network (IBN) has signed a contract to measure the audience of IBN’s in-store audio network in 200 Walgreens drug stores in the Houston-Galveston DMA. This marks the first time that Arbitron will provide audience estimates to place-based media using the existing panel of consumers who are carrying the company’s PPM device as part of Arbitron’s syndicated radio ratings service.

BrandIntel today released the 2007 TV Landscape report highlighting the upcoming fall network television shows currently generating the highest online consumer discussion and sentiment.

The BrandIntel report found ABC to hold both the top two spots for highly anticipated shows, with Pushing Daisies and Private Practice as the leaders in consumer sentiment.

News over Wireless Adds 22 Stations

News Over Wireless, Capitol Broadcasting’s New Media Group division that provides mobile applications to TV stations, has added 22 TV stations to its network, writes Mediaweek. That brings its total to more than 75 stations reaching 85 percent of the U.S.

New stations that have recently launched subscription-based mobile sites using the company’s services include KFMB-TV, a CBS affiliate in San Diego, and WINK_TV, a CBS affiliate in Fort Myers, Florida.
