Imus Negotiating with Citadel for Return to Terrestrial Radio

As has been suspected for months, Don Imus is in talks with Citadel Broadcasting, owner of ABC Radio, Variety writes.

Should Imus land at Citadel, there is still the question of what station Imus will join. ABC Radio Network and the ABC Radio stations have a tradition of making their own talent decisions, according to the article; Citadel CEO Farid Suleman is negotiating the agreement.

Imus would bring his longtime newsman, Charles McCord, along with him, writes FoxNews.com., which adds that it is not clear what role Bernard McGuirk, a more controversial member of the group, would play.

Imus could be back on the air by early next year.

Imus was fired by CBS Radio and removed from WFAN in April after making comments that were regarded by many as sexist and/or racist.
