eBay Introduces ‘Neighborhoods’

In an attempt to add more user-friendly features - and to forestall any increase in the drop in listings - eBay plans to launch a social networking service.

The feature, dubbed Neighborhoods, will allow users to post photos, reviews, tips and responses, based on a common shopping theme or interest such as fashion, music and film, writes Net Imperative.

There were 480 million items listed on eBay in the second quarter, down 6 percent from the first quarter and down 2 percent from the same period last year.
