DMA’s Greco Continues to Urge Self-Regulation

At the annual conference of the Direct Marketing Association this week, president-CEO John Greco pointed out that for every dollar spent by marketers on direct marketing, the return is $11.69.

The ROI on non-direct advertising this year is $5.24 for every dollar spent, he said (via BtoB).

Greco also announced new list compilation guidelines and 15 environmental/green initiatives, and urged DMers to regulate themselves rather than to let themselves be regulated. “If we can’t self-regulate successfully, you might as well turn off the lights and hand over the keys of your business to the legislators and regulators right now,” he is quoted as saying.
