Don Imus, who is making his return to radio on Dec. 3 on WABC-AM, has also penned a deal to return to television, with a simulcast on RFD-TV.
The seven-year-old cable and satellite station caters to viewers with homes on the range, writes the AP. Imus’s show will be simulcast on weekdays from 6-9 a.m., and will be rebroadcast each evening. It will also be available via on-demand services.
Imus signed a five-year agreement with RFD, which is in 30 million homes. The station caters mostly to rural audiences with shows like The Cattle Show and National Tractor Pulling. “Don’s passion and understanding of rural America fits in so well with our ongoing effort to bridge city and country folks with this channel,” Patrick Gottsch, founder and president of the Rural Media Group, is quoted as saying.
