BzzAgent has just licensed its brand to Rogers Media, Canada’s largest media company.
Per the agreement, Rogers assumes exclusive rights to sell access to BzzAgent’s word-of-mouth (WOM) services in Canada, under the name BzzAgent Canada, MarketingVox reports.
Rogers adds WOM to its existing print, digital, broadcast and other marketing services, making it the first major media company in Canada to formally do so.
The BzzAgent network consists of over 360,000 unpaid consumers, nearly 10 percent of whom live in Canada. These pro-bono “agents” talk about new products and services with friends and record their progress for the company. BzzAgent debuted in Canada last year.
Rogers owns 51 radio stations across Canada, a host of cable channels and magazines, and the Toronto Blue Jays.
