Rate-card reported ad revenue rose 7 percent to $7.6 billion, according to the Publishers Information Bureau (via Mediaweek).

Drugs & Remedies was the top category in terms of ad revenue for the second year in a row. Food & Food Products, Toiletries & Cosmetics and Media & Advertising all saw double-digit increases. Meanwhile, the automotive category sank to fifth place, marking the first time it hasn’t landed a spot in the top three categories in the last five years.
