Stacey’s Pita Chips and Newman’s Own Pasta Sauces are among those that have signed on to sponsor Cooking Light magazine’s fourth annual Cooking Light Ultimate Reader Recipe Contest.
The contest will be held September 18, 2008, in the magazine’s Birmingham, Ala., test kitchens. The contest draws thousands of submissions each year and has become a popular recipe contest for food enthusiasts in the country.
“The added twists of sponsor ingredients and cash prizes - as well as Americans’ shared interest in maintaining a healthy lifestyle - are tremendous draws for advertisers and readers alike,” says Chris Allen, senior vp and publisher of Cooking Light.
Each recipe submitted must incorporate one or more ingredients from contest sponsors, which this year include Annie’s Naturals, Al Fresco All Natural, Bird’s Eye Foods, Bush’s Beans, Eggland’s Best, Kerrygold Cheeses and Butters from Ireland, Nakano, Newman’s Own Pasta Sauces, Stacey’s Pita Chips and Swanson Broth.
