Chicago Sun Times Off ABC Probation, Free to Travel & Drink

The Chicago Sun-Times is back in the good graces of the Audit Bureau of Circulations this month, nearly four years after it was nailed for overstating circulation numbers.

The ABC took action in July 2004 and the tabloid has been audited every six months, rather than yearly, ever since. The Sun Times, according to Editor and Publisher, was omitted from semi annual FAS-FAX reports of top-line paid circulation numbers and has been busy restating results from the fraud years.
