Ninety hours of original programming will be coming to CBS this summer. Plenty of that time will be stocked with reality fare, but there are also two scripted dramas coming to the network.
In addition to another summer edition of Big Brother, CBS will air three new reality series: Greatest American Dog (self-explanatory), Million Dollar Password (a remake of the classic game show) and Jingles (a competition from Mark Burnett on which contestants write and perform jingles for products).
As for the scripted fare, one is the long-awaited Swingtown, set in the ’70s, which focuses on a family in a swinger-filled Chicago ‘burb. It premieres Thursday, June 5 at 10 p.m. Swingtown was originally slotted to be a mid-season replacement this year.
The other scripted show, Flashpoint, is a cop show, which premieres on Friday, July 11 at 10 p.m.
