USA Network, generally atop the cable ratings list, lost its lead in recent weeks, but last week returned to its former glory with 2.56 million average viewers during prime time.
The network took top honors in the 18-49 and 25-54 demos, though TBS won the 18-34 demo, writes Mediaweek. USA was helped along by returning series Law & Order: Criminal Intent and by newcomer In Plain Sight, which retained the bulk of its L&O lead-in.
WWE Raw also helped drive ratings.
TNT no longer had the NBA to help it out, but it did pull the most-watched program on cable honor, with its first NASCAR telecast of the season. The program pulled 6.1 million viewers. The network took second place in total viewers and among the 25-54 demo.
Lifetime took third place for the week, on the return of its original series Army Wives.
