USA Tops Cable Nets for 8th Consecutive Quarter

For the eighth consecutive quarter, USA Network has remained atop the prime time ratings heap among cable nets, closing the quarter up 5 percent and averaging 1.3 million viewers in adults 18-49.

The network beat out TNT, which averaged 1.2 million viewers, and also managed to top broadcast network the CW, writes the Hollywood Reporter.

USA’s In Plain Sight was the top-rated drama for the quarter, the network said, besting Lifetime’s Army Wives and TNT’s Saving Grace. WWE Monday Night Raw and originals of Law & Order: Criminal Intent also performed well on USA.

The top five cable nets all showed gains in the quarter. Nick at Nite gained 58 percent thanks to George Lopez and Home Improvement, while Bravo jumped 45 percent. FX, notably, slipped 11 percent.
