Fox to Pilot 8 Series in Mid-Season

Fox plans to adopt more of a year-round television schedule, with 8 series to be screened in December, network president of entertainment Kevin Reilly told media gathered for the Television Critics Association press tour.

Macy’s same-store sales slipped 1.9 percent for May and June because of the challenging economic environment, though cash flow remains strong and sales outpaced JC Penney (which saw same-store sales drop 3.3 percent), Kohl’s (same-store sales dropped 2.1 percent) and Nordstrom (same-store sales dropped 5.9 percent) in the quarter.
