NBC to Preview Fallon’s ‘Late Night’ Online

NBC will preview its next edition of Late Night, with new host Jimmy Fallon, online beginning this fall. The shows are likely to be just five or 10 minutes long, and will air nightly.

Fallon has been named the replacement to Conan O’Brien when O’Brien leaves to take over the Tonight show from Jay Leno next year, and Lorne Michaels, executive producer of Late Night, wants Fallon to work out as many kinks in his performance as possible, according to The New York Times.

The shows will be posted at 12:30 each night, to get audiences used to watching Fallon at that time.

The schedule for the transition for the shows - Leno to O’Brien and O’Brien to Fallon - is expected to be announced tomorrow.

It is still unclear where Jay Leno will go when he leaves NBC, but industry buzz is betting on ABC.
