The Chicago Tribune’s new design will launch on Sept. 29, Tribune Co. chief operating officer Randy Michaels says. No details on the redesign have been released; the paper has already been decreasing its editorial pages to create a more even split with advertising.

All of Tribune Co.’s papers have been or will be redesigned this summer and fall - but none of the company’s efforts have gone far enough to boost its financial outlook, writes Chicago Business. Analyst Dave Novosel of Gimme Credit LLC wrote, in a note to clients, that, while bankruptcy is not imminent, “it is hard to envision a catalyst that will drive these bonds higher.”
