SearchMe Turns Sites into Shareworthy Bundles; Launches Search for Videos, Photos

Published on July 08, 2008 | Email this article

Visual search engine SearchMe launched a feature that enables users to cluster their favorite webpages and share them via email, on blogs and on social networks.

The feature is called Stacks. Samples of Stacks in action across verticals — like news, music and sports — are available on SearchMe’s Stacks page.

The company also launched Media Search, which queries videos and images from sites like YouTube and flickr. Demos and how-tos for both Stacks and Media Search are available in SearchMe’s press section, writes MarketingVOX.

SearchMe is still in private beta. Months ago, it raised $31 million in funding from a pool of investors that included Sequoia, which also invested in human-powered search engine Mahalo.
