RD.com Relaunches

The just-relaunched Reader’s Digest website was designed with seven content channels which, according to RD.com general manager Steven Schwartz, allow advertisers to connect with readers via “branded environments.”

The content channels include a user-generated section about community activism, a section on advice and know-how, a section with articles from the current issue of the magazine, a living healthy section, and one titled “Laughs!”

During the first quarter, ad revenue for the print magazine was down 23 percent from the same quarter in 2007, while ad pages were down 19.4 percent, according to the Publishers Information Bureau (via Folio).
