Dunkin’ and Yahoo Hook Up for Online Recaps

Published on March 12, 2008 | Email this article

Dunkin’ Donuts and Yahoo are teaming to offer quick online recaps of sports and entertainment news.

The Yahoo Sports Minute debuted last month and the Dunkin’-branded Good Morning Yahoo video segment starts April 9. This is Dunkin’s second recent baby step into new media; last month the coffee retailer launched a YouTube channel as part of its efforts to expand its brand nationally.

The daily video summary of top sports stories features a host flanked in a subtle manner by the Dunkin’ logo on one side and a steaming cup of Dunkin’ coffee and a breakfast sandwich on the other. The weekday pieces will include entertainment and news-lite video clips from top news outlets, writes the Boston Herald.

Next up in May is The Dunkin’ Lounge, an online community that melds Yahoo! Groups with the Yahoo! Answers network. The Lounge will provide a meeting space for all those folks who feel compelled to discuss Dunkin’s products.
