Chicago Sun-Times Launches Cross-Channel Campaign

The Chicago Sun-Times, with 1.1 million weekly readers, is claiming in a new ad campaign that it is the best-read daily inside the Chicago city limits.

The campaign begins with the tagline “Did you know?” and targets advertisers with the notion that it is the leading paper in Chicago, writes Editor & Publisher.

The radio, print and online campaign also says that parent Sun-Times Media Group, which includes 8 daily and 63 weekly newspapers in the Chicago market, reaches 52 percent more than its largest competitor.

The Sun-Times Media Group is considering a sale of the company and its assets.
