Fox Sells All but Two Super Bowl Spots

Published on November 28, 2007 | Email this article

By the end of October, Fox had sold 56 of the 63 in-game 30-second spots for its coverage of the Super Bowl; now, only two units are left, and the network is expected to hold onto those until closer to the game.

At least one of the five spots sold in November went for $3 million, writes Adweek.

Last year, CBS had sold only 42 spots by mid-January. Buyers are saying it has been many years since a network has reached a near sell-out point so early in the season.

Fox signed a deal with MySpace that will allow Super Bowl advertisers to place their ads on a Super Bowl site within MySpace. Advertisers can include videos on the site, which will be promoted during the Super Bowl.
