Durex Seeks Condom Testers

Published on October 23, 2007 | Email this article

Durex is looking for people to volunteer as condom testers, ostensibly in order to find out information about product performance.

The company is asking volunteers to sign up at www.DurexCondonTester.com between Oct. 22 and Nov. 4 to complete an application to be considered for one of the 1,000 positions open to residents of the U.S.

Those chosen for the job are being asked to provide feedback on product performance. One volunteer will win a $1,000 prize.

“Durex wants condom and lubricant users to not only have safe sex, but to also have fun,” says Stephen Mare, brand manager, Durex Consumer Products. “What better way to ensure that our products are meeting the needs of Americans than to ask them first-hand?”

The men and women selected as condom testers will be sent a supply of Durex products - including vibrating rings, lubricants and assorted condoms - so they can “get down to business,” the release says.
