Out-of-Home Spending up 7.9%, Communications Leads

Outdoor ad spending grew 7.9 percent in the second quarter over the same quarter last year, according to the Outdoor Advertising Association of America.

Seven of the 10 ad categories tracked by the OAAA experienced growth in the second quarter. The fastest growing categories were communications (up 39 percent), auto accessories and equipment (up 17.3 percent) and insurance and real estate (up 13.1 percent), writes Media Life. Financial declined 12.4 percent.
