Published on July 10, 2007 | Email this article

Arbitron Inc. today announced that Entravision Communications has signed a multi-year agreement for the PPM radio ratings services in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, Sacramento and Las Vegas, when the PPM is rolled out in those markets.

The agreement encompasses all Entravision radio stations in those markets, each of which Arbitron is planning to convert to the PPM ratings methodology by the end of 2010. The agreement expires December 31, 2012.

To date, Arbitron has announced contracts for PPM for more than a dozen broadcasters. By the end of 2010, Arbitron is scheduled to deploy the Portable People Meter in the top 50 markets in place of the paper and pencil diary method that the company has employed to collect radio audience estimates since 1965.
