WSJ Ups Newsstand Price

Published on June 14, 2007 | Email this article

The Wall Street Journal will raise its newsstand price from $1 to $1.50 on weekdays. Subscribers will not be affected.

The price of the Journal’s weekend paper is already $1.50, The New York Times points out.

The weekday newsstand price has not changed since 2001, and since that time, newspaper costs have rocketed while ad revenue has dropped.

The Wall Street Journal, with 2 million subscribers, is second only to USA Today.
